Jamaal Williams

Jamaal Williams Running Back from BYU

6′ 212 LBS.

40 yard dash: 4.59

Hometown: Fontana, CA

Career Totals: 726 attempts for 3,901 yards & 35 TD

Draft prediction: 2nd-4th round

NFL Comparison: Stepfan Taylor & Chis Ivory

Pros:

He’s a good receiving back with quality hands. Has the durability to be a complete back that can play on all 3 downs.  His best weapon in open field is his stiff arm and the way he eludes defenders with precise jump cuts.  A hard runner with good balance & fluid hips.  Consistently slashes the defense and eats up yards on off tackle schemes.

Cons:

Lots of carries in his college career, might be an indication to a shorter NFL career. He has had some off the field issues but minor concern.  He was suspended 1 game in 2014 for an underage drinking incident

Final note:

Jamaal has all the qualities to be a bell cow running back.  He has all the tools to be an elite back and a leader where ever he might land on draft day.  Without question Williams is a steal in the mid rounds and should be an impact player from day one.
